Lost Horizon: The Classic Film Scores of Dimitri Tiomkin, recorded in 1975 by RCA and released as an LP record, was reissued in SACD by Dutton Vocalion in late 2017. The disc contains a suite from The Thing from Another World previously unreleased in quadraphonic sound.

Charles Gerhardt conducts the National Philharmonic Orchestra in music from such Hollywood classics as The Big Sky, The Fourposter, Friendly Persuasion, The Guns of Navarone, and Search for Paradise.

All the music has been remastered from the original analog tapes (stereo and quadraphonic) and the SACD disc is fully compatible with standard CD players.
